why i can't find critical points for this function

$(2x-4)^{100}$ I tried to get the derivative of this function which is equal to $200(2x-4)^{99}$ now I need to get the critical points so when I set the function = 0 I can't get a value how to solve this, please?

Where is the difficulty? If $z^{99}=0$ then $z=0$.

  • $begingroup$
    $200(2x-4)^{99}=0$ then $2x-4=0$ so $x=2$.
