How to define in Matlab a function with a 3 variable input as a function with a vector input
$begingroup$
Say that I want to write an m-file to find the value of the following function:
$f(x,y,z) = frac{1}{2}left[left(2 x-yz-1right)^{2}+left(1-x-y - exp(x-z)right)^{2}+left(-x-2y+3zright)^{2} right]$
and I want the input to be a vector of the form $w=[x,y,z]$.
How would I code that so that each component of the vector gets assigned to its corresponding variable in the function?
Essentially, my goal is to call the function in another function, SteepestMin(func,$x0$,$t$,itmax,tol), where func is where this function I'm asking about here is supposed to go, and $x0$ is an initial starting value, say $x0=[1.5,0.5,0.5]$, $t$ is the starting stepsize, itmax is the number of iterations and tol is a given tolerance.
Thank you for your time and patience.
